According to the president of the National Union of Doctors of Angola (Sinmea), the employer was given a period of 90 days to respond to the points in the list of claims, including the question of salary increases.

Adriano Manuel said that this Monday the doctors return to their posts.

Regarding his relocation and the nullity of his disciplinary process, the union leader said that he is back at work at the David Bernardino Pediatric Hospital, with the disciplinary procedure having been withdrawn.

Asked about what concessions the union made in favor of the employer, Adriano Manuel said that one of them was the claim for compensation that demanded the list of claims.

The president of Sinmea, a pediatrician, has been away from his job for a year and nine months, after denouncing the death of dozens of children in just one day in the emergency room of the Pediatric Hospital David Bernardino, which led to a disciplinary process and transfer to the human resources area of the Ministry of Health.

Regarding the improvement of working conditions, the president of Sinmea referred that working groups were created with those responsible for the sector, in order to find a way to respond within a period of 90 days.

The parties reached an agreement, after a meeting held on Friday, putting an end to the strike that started on the 6th of this month.
