Handball: 'Pérolas' remain undefeated in the CAN after beat Uganda

This Thursday, the women's national handball team achieved its second victory in the African Nations Championship (CAN), which is taking place in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo). After winning their debut game in the championship, the ‘Pérolas’ once again showed their superiority by beating Uganda 46-11, remaining undefeated in the competition for now.

In this Thursday's match, in the second round of group B, the first half was marked by Angola's wide advantage over their opponents, as at half-time Uganda had scored just one goal.

At halftime, the team was already winning 31-1.

In the second half, although Uganda managed to score more goals, Angola's advantage remained.

When the final whistle sounded, the score read 46 to 11, giving Angola the victory.

According to the Angolan Handball Federation, Marília Quizelete was elected the best on the field. "Marília Quizelete was the MVP of Angola's victory against Uganda by 46 to 11", writes the federation, in a note to which VerAngola had access.

With this second victory, Angola had four points, leading the group for now. In second is the Cameroon team, also with four points, followed by the Democratic Republic of the Congo (two points), Guinea (one point), Tunisia (one point) and Uganda (zero points).

The 'Pérolas' will play again on Saturday, with the Guinea team, at 5pm.
