In a statement sent to VerAngola, the leading company in the national food industry reported that it achieved "an important milestone this week by acquiring locally produced wheat, standing out for its role in strengthening national agriculture and promoting the 'Made in Angola' concept".

This action, it added, is part of its strategy to reduce "dependence on imported raw materials and boost local production, reinforcing the long-term commitment to the sustainable development" of the country.

According to the company's CEO, Hélder Caetano, the acquisition of national wheat represents the company's commitment to the country's economy.

"This acquisition strengthens our supply chain and encourages the development of local agriculture, which is fundamental to Angola's economic diversification. Our focus is to acquire all available locally produced wheat, and to maintain constant dialogue with farmers and the Government to expand wheat production in the country, as well as wheat flour", he said, quoted in the note.

The director also assured that the inclusion of local raw materials does not compromise the quality of the products.

According to the manager, the company has "strict quality control" that enables it to deliver "excellent" products: "We have strict quality control that allows us to deliver excellent end products, compatible with any imported product".

"We want consumers to know that, when they choose our products, they are supporting local agriculture and the Angolan economy. Our commitment to 'Made in Angola' is the basis for creating a value chain that benefits the country as a whole", Hélder Caetano also pointed out.

With a daily production capacity of 700 tons of wheat flour, the company says it continues to "invest in partnerships and infrastructure that allow it to expand local production".
