The match will take place in Norway. "The national senior women's handball team begins its journey in the World Championship, this Thursday, November 30th, against France, at 8:30 pm. The game will take place at the DNB pavilion, in the city of Stavanger (Norway)", informs the Angolan Handball Federation (FAAND), to which VerAngola had access.

The national team's assistant coach, Nelson Catito, considered that the team has been improving some fundamental aspects for a good performance.

"As time approaches the competition, the team is starting to improve certain fundamental aspects so that we can have a good competitive participation in the World Championship", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

According to the federation, the national team wants to "improve the 25th place achieved in the last edition" of the competition.

"The African Pearls hold the supremacy of the sport, on the African continent, with 15 titles, this being their 17th participation in the world competition", says the federation's note.

In turn, the national team's best classification at the World Cup was seventh place, achieved in 2007, in France.
