As the author told VerAngola, the work addresses the ways in which justice agents intervene, from the police to the top of the judiciary, towards victims of crimes.
The discussion around the appropriate care to be provided to victims of criminal offenses is also an important space for observing compliance with human rights, says the author, adding that the work aims to assist the State in solidifying the response mechanisms of police bodies criminal law and the main legal-criminal institutions, such as the Attorney General's Office, the courts, the National Police, the Criminal Investigation Service and the Military Judicial Police, to protect the rights and guarantees of victims of criminal acts.
Among other aspects, the discussion presented by the book also intends to place at the center of judicial and police actions the figure of the victim and their trauma resulting from infractions, which in many cases has been made invisible by exaggerated attention to offenders.
The book, dedicated "to the victims of whatever crime", is published by Kilunje Editora, and has a preface by the Ombudsman of the Republic, Florbela Rocha Araújo, as well as the coordination of professors Masters Óscar Sousa Domingos and Loidy Vaz by Almeida.
