It is recalled that last month, the shares of Isabel dos Santos and General Leopoldino Fragoso do Nascimento "Dino" in Unitel were transferred to the State, through nationalization.
An action that, according to the minister who was speaking to the press in the Norwegian capital last Friday, aimed to protect "strategic assets" for the field of telecommunications in the country.
Cited by Angop, Diamantino Azevedo also made it known that the action was also intended to protect and guarantee greater stability and efficiency to Unitel.
It should be noted that with the transfer of the holdings of Isabel dos Santos and General "Dino", the State now fully holds the share capital of the telecommunications company. This is because each share concerned 25 percent while the remaining 50 percent were already held by the flagship oil company.
According to Angop, the operator currently has more than 12 million customers, occupying a market share of 80 percent.
