TV Girassol, the new Angolan television channel that will broadcast the World Cup in Qatar

This Saturday TV Girassol arrives on Angolan television. Available on an experimental basis in position 20 of the ZAP platform, this new channel intends to transmit different contents, from national and international news, to sports and entertainment.

Hélder Barber dos Santos, Chairman of the Board of Directors, clarified that Rede Girassol encompasses television, radio, news portal and social networks, intending to guide its activity taking into account the credibility and impartiality of the information transmitted.

"Our daily practice will be characterized by an attitude of credibility, research and professionalism, combined with high aesthetic and visual quality," he said, quoted by Angop.

The Minister of Telecommunications, Mário Oliveira, was present at the launch of the network, the result of private investment, and said that it was a way of progress and modernization of the country, contributing to better information and training of citizens.

The official also underlined that the country is starting to show conditions to take advantage of Angosat2, which is in the test phase.

Manuel Homem, governor of the province of Luanda, was expectant with the new project, advising impartiality and plurality of contents.

Girassol TV starts operating on the 19th, and from the 20th onwards it will broadcast the main games of the FIFA World Cup, taking place in Qatar.
