In addition to Florêncio de Almeida, another Angolan was recognized to a different degree. It is the deputy José Semedo who was distinguished with the "Grande Oficial" award.

António Duarte, attorney general of the military justice of Brazil, presided over the award ceremony that marked the highest moment of the celebrations of the 102 years of the institution's existence (celebrated on 30 October), according to a note from the Angolan diplomatic representation in the Brazil, cited by Angop.

In addition, high-ranking figures in Brazil's political universe and the Israeli ambassador in that country were also honored with this delivery, writes to Angop.

Cited by Angop, António Duarte took the opportunity to highlight the relevance of the ceremony, referring that the jurisdictional role is fundamental for the safeguarding of law and order within the Brazilian armed forces.

According to Angop, the Order of Merit of the Brazilian Military Public Ministry refers to an award that aims to reward citizens who have performed important services in the exercise of their functions or who have become deserving of the consideration and recognition of the military institution.
