The online newspaper Notícias do Sorraia reported this Monday that former pitchfork Rodrigo Malta died Saturday, the victim of a road accident, in Angola.

On its Facebook page, the Grupo de Forcados Amadores de Coruche also broke the news: "Today one of our people left for what is the ultimate catch in life. Rodrigo 'aço' honored our jacket with the greatest of courage materializing with their friendship and comradeship what it is to be forced".

Questioned by Lusa, the Portuguese MNE reported that "through the Consulate General of Portugal in Luanda, it is monitoring the situation, in contact with the family and the employer".

The MNE also indicated that it showed "availability for the necessary consular support, namely registration of death and issuance of the transfer permit".
