According to a statement from the SJA, José Honório, a journalist from the Angop news agency, was “violently attacked” when he proposed a “pedagogical approach to National Police agents who questioned “zungueiras” (street vendors) in Lobito (Benguela province).
The agents “reacted with violence” and, according to the journalist, “he would have lost his life if he hadn't begged to be allowed to breathe”.
An “unspeakable” behavior and comparable “to a habitual act of marginals”, criticizes the SJA.
For this reason, the SJA considers “essential” a criminal action against those responsible for the aggression, as well as “due disciplinary accountability to the extent of the violence practiced by them”.
