The training of education agents, which begins this Wednesday in Luanda, is an initiative of the Ministry of Education of Angola, within the scope of the Learning for All Project (PAT), financed by the World Bank (WB).

In a press release made public this Tuesday, the ministerial entity says that the training cycle starts in the capital, with training aimed at school directors, primary and secondary education teachers, class, discipline, course and members of the educational community.

Luanda hosts the initial phase of this training action with a national dimension and should bring together more than 100 participants from 18 provinces.

Strengthening the skills of trainees in relation to the pedagogical practice of Portuguese Language and Mathematics, the skills of teachers and managers for the functioning of schools in accordance with the safety guidelines in the context of covid-19 are some of the objectives of this training.

The authorities also intend to clarify any doubts about the current programs, defined for the different subjects and levels of education, and to make teachers aware of the proper management of the teaching programmes.

The initiative aims to train 43,107 primary school teachers nationwide and 3008 secondary school teachers to better assess the oral and written skills of their students.
