The former captain of the national team also lamented the lack of conditions for the practice and development of football, in a large part of the Angolan territory, recalling that the sport is concentrated in Luanda.

"We can see many players with a lot of quality appearing almost always, but it could have been better, were it not for the lack of working conditions in some provinces. Almost everything is concentrated in Luanda," he said.

Mateus Galiano, who recently said goodbye to the national team, revealed that, when he leaves the pitch, he intends to pursue a coaching career, and revealed that he already has the training and the respective UEFA C license, which allows him to train beginners and juniors.

For the Angolan national team, the 37-year-old athlete played 66 games and scored 14 goals.

He participated in the 2006 World Cup in Germany and in the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana, 2012, in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, 2013, South Africa, as well as in the African Cup of Nations in Egypt in 2019.
