Mundial2022: Angola draws with Egypt after winning 2-0

The national football team drew, in Luanda, against Egypt, by Carlos Queiroz, by 2-2, after winning by 2-0, in a game of the fifth round of group F, qualifying for the 2022 World Cup.


Hélder Costa, on 25 minutes, opened the scoring, and, 10 minutes later, Mbala Zola, with a penalty, extended the advantage that was reduced by Mohamed Elneny, to 45+2, after a pass by Mohamed Salah. Akram Tawfik, on 58 minutes, re-established equality.

With this result, the team remains in the last position, with four points, in a group led by Egypt, with 11, and already qualified for the next stage of the tournament, followed by Gabon, with seven, as a result of the victory over Libya ( 1-0), which is ranked third with six.

Angola, led by Portuguese Pedro Gonçalves, ends the campaign for the World Cup Qatar2022 on November 16, against Libya, in Benghazi.

The match confirmed the farewell of Torreense striker Mateus Galiano, 37, of the Angola national team, after 15 years with the team.
