President visited Namibe province to assess government action

The President, João Lourenço, visited on Saturday and Sunday the province of Namibe, in the south of the country, to assess the government action, continuing the program of visits to the different regions of the country.

According to a note from the President's Civil House, João Lourenço arrived in Namibe on Saturday morning, having presided over an extended meeting with the provincial government, which served to assess the level of execution of the different sectoral programs.

At the meeting, sectors such as health, education, public works, agriculture, fisheries, among others, were seen under a magnifying glass, with the provincial governor, Archer Mangueira presenting to João Lourenço "a memorandum with an exhaustive survey of the different situations in each portfolio".

In the afternoon, João Lourenço planted a tree, symbolizing his commitment to environmental protection and defense policies.

During his visit to Namibe, the head of State also visited a company in the fishing sector and an agro-industrial wine production project, ending the day with the usual audiences for members of civil society, young people and businessmen.

On Sunday, he went to Caraculo, Bibala municipality, to visit the Sacomar mineral port, then returning to the city of Moçâmedes, capital of the province, to visit different infrastructures, including the rehabilitation works of Moçâmedes bay, the Marginal, the commercial port and also the Instituto Marítimo e Pesqueiro.
