Luanda-Bengo Economic Zone launches investor support office to "eliminate bureaucracy"

The Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE) will launch an Investor Support Window (GAI) to “facilitate access” by national and foreign investors to national economic assets to be privatized, “eliminate bureaucratic obstacles” and expand investments.

:

ZEE, in a note sent today to Lusa, informs that the GAI will be officially launched this Wednesday and will provide investors with a set of public and private services, in order to harmoniously integrate investors into the business environment.

The GAI proposes to reduce the time needed to access and resolve matters relating to public administration, contribute to a significant increase in the number of companies headquartered in the EEZ, and expand domestic production and export of goods generated by the economy.

ZEE is an industrial park, which brings together Angolan and foreign investors, owned by the State and located in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda.

Increasing foreign direct investment in Angola is also one of the purposes of implementing the GAI.

According to the press release, the economic reforms introduced by the executive, with a new legal framework, facilitating the improvement of the business environment, reinforced the attractiveness of the ZEE.

"That with the GAI, it makes available unique conditions to national and foreign investors", refers to the document.

The GAI will be physically accessible, with its own facilities in the ZEE, and also through the official pages and on various digital platforms and social networks.

Over the 12 years of existence, the ZEE projects "generated 6132 new jobs, mostly filled by national citizens".

The ZEE brings together several industrial units that have already been privatized and others on the path to privatization within the framework of the Government's Privatization Program (ProPriv).
