Bornito de Sousa in São Tomé for funeral of former president of parliament

Angolan Vice President Bornito de Sousa Diogo arrived this Tuesday morning in Sao Tome and Principe to participate in the funeral ceremonies of the former president of the Sao Tomean parliament, Alcino Pinto, who died on Thursday from cardiovascular arrest.

The leader was received at São Tomé airport by the Prime Minister, Jorge Bom Jesus, and did not make any statements upon his arrival.

According to the program of his stay in the capital San Tome, Bornito Sousa has scheduled meetings with the Prime Minister of San Tome and a courtesy meeting with former President Manuel Pinto da Costa.

The funeral of the former president of the National Assembly of San Tomean takes place in the afternoon, after a solemn session with speeches by parliamentary groups, approval of a vote of sorrow and signing of a book of condolence.
