According to a statement from Caminho de Ferro de Luanda (CFL), circulation will be from 4am to 10pm, lasting 60 minutes, with an express service especially dedicated to passengers heading to the airport.
The new railway line, with five stations, runs around 40 kilometers and was built to improve mobility between the city center of Luanda and the municipality of Icolo and Bengo, where the new Angola International Airport is located, which replaces the 4 de Fevereiro Airport.
The CFL is creating a monthly corporate pass with discounts for employees of all companies and entities associated with AIAAN and plans to launch, by Thursday, October 31st, a monthly rail pass for suburban passenger trains and for the line that serves the airport.
The start of AIAAN operations is scheduled for November 10th, with four daily frequencies, operated on the Luanda-Cabinda route by the flag company TAAG.
The António Agostinho Neto International Airport is located in a total area of 75 square kilometers and was designed to receive 15 million passengers/year and 130 thousand tons of cargo.
