According to Fátima Almeida, executive director of the technology company, Cazenga was the "pioneer" of the 'Comércio + Inclusivo – Bairros Digitais' project, leading to vacancies being filled with people from the municipality.
The person responsible, speaking to Angop, said that the project is part of the National Development Plan and the Informal Economy Reconversion Program, and that it aims to reinforce local commerce, promote the creation of jobs and income, reduce number of informal workers, as well as increasing access to financial services, opening doors for citizens to reach their maximum potential.
At the time, she said they were authorized by the local administration to work with the six districts regarding the project and, for that, people are needed.
"We have authorization from the local administration to work with the six districts regarding the project and, for that, we need people. So instead of bringing people from outside, we created this Self-Employment Fair to give this opportunity to young people from Cazenga", she explained.
Speaking to Angop, she highlighted the objective of, by June 2026, raising awareness of more than one million traders, providing them with the essential instruments to grow in the digital economy and reaching 10 percent of the country's population, as well as providing financial education, digital training and foster a more inclusive future perspective.
Fátima Almeida clarified that "Cazenga has a very large commercial hobby here, many stores and markets", so the intention "is to reach these small businesses by giving them tools to improve the way they operate, bringing good management practices, artificial intelligence to your business and the local economy grows".
As far as the end customer is concerned, the main advantage of the project is its easy use, security, ease of access, convenience, economy and contribution to monetary policy by reducing the need to issue paper money, while for traders, the platform becomes safe and effective, as well as increasing sales, reducing operational expenses and making it possible to access detailed transaction and training reports, writes Angop.
