The announcement was made by the provincial director of the Migration and Foreigners Service, the deputy commissioner of Migration Diogo Baltazar, last Tuesday, on the sidelines of a visit to the aforementioned post, which aimed to assess the technical and security of the site where the equipment will be assembled.
Quoted in a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, to which VerAngola had access, the person responsible assured that "the aforementioned visa will be issued locally in the first phase at the Yema border post, in light of article 60 of" Law no. 13/19, of May 23, of the Legal Regime for Foreigners in the Republic of Angola.
The guardianship also says that the border visa concerns "a territorial visa, in accordance with the migration law in force in Angola, and that, since its approval, only the border provinces of Luanda, Cunene and Moxico have issued it, except Cabinda for technical reasons".
The border visa authorizes a stay of up to 15 days, "without the possibility of extension, intended for foreign citizens who need to enter the country in urgent cases, especially for companies or duly qualified individuals", says the statement.
