"I think that political parties have not encouraged the vandalization of public assets, because public media, despite being owned by the State, also belong to political parties and they have the responsibility to preserve the media," he said.

The leader of the Social Renewal Party (PRS), who spoke at the end of the president's speech on the State of the Nation, presented at the National Assembly, classified those who vandalize public property as "irresponsible".

For Benedito Daniel, the practice of vandalism of public goods and services in Angola "cannot be attributed" to political parties: "Because political parties are there to educate citizens and they are not the ones who contribute, much less train the vandals".

"We are not responsible for the vandalization of public property," he assured journalists, in response to the president's accusations in a speech that lasted two hours.

João Lourenço assured, in his speech, that his Government will continue to pay special attention to the crimes of smuggling, illegal exploitation of mineral resources and vandalization of public assets.

He urged citizens to join forces and launch a national crusade against the aforementioned crimes, so that their authors, buyers, instigators and promoters are "exemplarily punished".

"Unfortunately, some of them are politicians and parliamentarians, who have an obligation to defend the law and the public good, behavior that must be condemned by our society", he said.

As for the content of the message on the State of the Nation from the head of State at the opening of the third parliamentary year of the V Legislature of the National Assembly, Benedito Daniel said that "it was the expected speech".

"All areas have been focused and now it is the Angolans' effort to compensate, each at their own level, for what they can contribute", said the deputy.
