CaféCIPRA is back to address the implications of environmental crimes

CaféCIPRA is back, this time to address the implications of environmental crimes on the country's socio-economic development. This is the 17th edition of this unmediated dialogue taking place this Wednesday, at the Press Center of the Presidency of the Republic (CIPRA).

According to a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access, the dialogue will present the "consequences of environmental crimes, the activity of inspection bodies and government strategies to protect the environment and promote sustainable development in Angola".

The conversation starts at 3pm and will be facilitated by the Ministers of Agriculture and Forestry and Fisheries and Marine Resources, António Francisco de Assis and Carmen do Sacramento Neto, respectively, in addition to the Secretaries of State for Mineral Resources, Jânio Correa Victor, and for the Environment, Yuri de Sousa Santos.

At CaféCIPRA, which will be under the theme "Implications of environmental crimes on the country's socio-economic development", those facilitated will also "acknowledge ongoing actions to combat environmental crimes and minimize negative impacts on the economy and quality of life of citizens".

The event will be "broadcast live on the official Facebook and YouTube pages of CIPRA and the Government of Angola, to allow internet users to equally participate in this space for dialogue between government officials and representatives of civil society", says the statement.
