"On this crucial date for the reconciliation of the German people, when all the citizens of their country came together again under one and the same flag to rebuild Germany as children of the same homeland, I want to join this celebration and pay homage the spirit of concord and fraternity that characterized this event, whose impact on the history of Europe and the world was decisive", reads the message addressed to the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
In the message, João Lourenço stressed that this date had an "impact on the history of Europe and the world" and "was decisive".
The head of state took the opportunity to reaffirm his personal commitment, as well as that of the Government of Angola, in increasing the level of good friendly relations between the two countries, as well as "exploring more adequately" the "high potential for cooperation in strategic sectors", especially those that could have a beneficial effect on the two States and regions in which they are located.
