The pilot campaign begins in November in Block 3/05 and involves the use of AUSEA (Airborne Ultralight Spectrometer for Environmental Applications) technology developed by TotalEnergies and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), allowing methane and dioxide emissions to be detected carbon emissions from oil installations.
"With this partnership, in which AUSEA technology will be used, Sonangol and TotalEnergies are joining forces to support the decarbonization of the Angolan oil industry", the companies highlight in a statement.
