According to a company statement, the accident occurred in the Quipamba area, municipality of Bibala, involving a composition of 20 wagons, including two fuel tanks, 17 container ships and a van.
The document points out that, due to the derailment, six vehicles overturned, including two fuel tanks and four container carriers.
Technical teams from CFM, the Civil Protection and Fire Department and the National Police are on site to assist in the removal of material and control of the fire caused by the wagon carrying cooking oil.
The company stresses that the causes of the accident are still unknown, stressing that no deaths or injuries were recorded.
The CFM board of directors created an investigation commission to investigate the causes that led to the accident.
