Vigílio Tyova, then administrator of the metropolis, launched him into governance in 2007 with the post of director of the legal office of the Lubango administration. Now, it is he who ascends to the position of administrator.
On the sidelines of the inauguration, which took place this Monday, the new administrator said that he intends to pay more attention to the outskirts of the city, improving and developing these areas. He also mentioned that he intends to continue the projects started in the city, pointing out public safety as a priority.
"The rains are approaching and there are still populations residing in risk areas and we need to understand what is behind families returning to risk areas and trying to find more adequate solutions for this", he said, quoted by Angop.
It is recalled that Lubango, capital of Huíla, has a population of over one million inhabitants, spread over more than 3000 square kilometers, which makes it the most populous municipality in the province.
