Angola is present at Web Summit 2021

The country will be present at the Web Summit 2021. It will be up to Unitel to represent the country at the world technology summit, which takes place from 1 to 4 November, in Lisbon (Portugal).


"With the motto "Entrepreneurship is a way to change your future", Unitel takes to the most important world event of technology, entrepreneurship and innovation, its valence as a promoter of Angolan technological entrepreneurship that since its inception has supported several initiatives that aim to boost the country's Digital Ecosystem", can be read in a statement sent to VerAngola.

According to the note, with Unitel there will be Angolan startups that won this year's edition of Unitel Go Challenge. The winner is Paga3, a payment service provider that offers its customers the payment model for products and services in installments with immediate delivery, which will participate in person and the honorable mentions Angowaste in the Innovation category and Deya in the Social Responsibility category, who will participate virtually.

"Unitel Go Challenge is a digital business competition open every year to entrepreneurs and developers from Angola as well as Angolans residing in the diaspora. In 2021 more than 230 projects were submitted to the competition, only 10 reaching the final and three of them convincing the panel of judges and won the awards, including the participation in the Web Summit 2021", the statement said.

The technological summit will take place at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon, and Untiel will be represented at the FIL-1 pavilion, Stand E-107, the note said.
