Angola has released 90 percent of suspected mined areas in the past five years, but remains on the list of the ten most contaminated states in the world, the result of more than three decades of war.

With more than 100 kilometers of land suspected of having landmines and other traces of weapons, 18 years after the end of the war, the country continues to record deaths and mutilations of its citizens due to explosions of devices.
