The President of the Republic, who will be one of the main speakers at the event, will be joined by Tony Blair, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, in a conversation where the progress of reforms and the expectations and opportunities in Angola will be discussed, although covid-19 has forced the economy to regress, reports Novo Jornal.
The conversation between João Lourenço and the former British prime minister, which will take place on 5 November, will be moderated by Carlos Lopes, professor of economics at Cape Town University.
The event will bring together the main investors, companies, politicians and entrepreneurs operating in Africa. This edition, which due to the pandemic will take place virtually, will focus on issues such as sustainable growth, innovative finance, global trade in the post-African Continental Free Trade Agreement, among others.
