In a press release, the public company specializing in multimodal passenger and cargo transport services announced that the vessel that operated on the Soyo-Cabinda (vice versa) and Cabinda-Luanda (vice versa) routes had been repaired.
With the recovery of this vessel, regular shipping services will resume with three daily trips, departing from the municipality of Soyo at 8:00am bound for Cabinda.
Following this breakdown, which was announced on Friday, more than 70 passengers were stranded in the city of Soyo, in the province of Zaire.
Secil Marítima thanked the patience and calm shown by those passengers affected by the inoperability of the damaged vessels, the only means of transporting people and goods on this route, after the Soyo/Cabinda air link was discontinued.
The statement emphasizes that the travel schedule for the coming days will be communicated in due course, with the possibility of making two more vessels available to users.
"To this end, all passengers will be informed in advance about reservations and rescheduling of trips", the note highlights.
