Angop

Located in the Cameia neighborhood, in the municipality of Léua, in the province of Moxico, Lake Kalundo is associated with legends, and to this day there are reports of 'ghosts' appearing at this site.

Legend has it, that in the 18th century, a village that had once been turned into a lake. This transformation is believed to have happened because of the residents' disdain for a poor old woman.

In addition, there are also reports that Portuguese settlers tried to cross the lake, but were unsuccessful, as their canoe sank and some people died. So the Portuguese threw explosives there to stop the event.

But the legend doesn't stop there, there are also reports of hunters discovering traces of people walking south on the other side of the lake, and there are reports of 'ghosts' appearing there to this day.
