The company, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, informs that this change was approved by the National Bank of Angola (BNA).
"EMIS – Empresa Interbancária de Serviços, S.A., as manager of the multicaixa network, informs that, with the approval of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), it will proceed to change the daily withdrawal limits at Automatic Teller Machines (AC)", the note reads.
Thus, EMIS states that, as of 26 September, "the new daily withdrawal limit at AC will be 120,000.00 kwanzas".
However, the company warns that the withdrawal limit per transaction, as well as the cumulative daily withdrawal limit between AC and automatic payment terminal (TPA) will remain the same.
"It is important to highlight that the other withdrawal limits on the Multicaixa network will remain unchanged", points out EMIS, which adds that the withdrawal limit per option remains at 60,000 kwanzas, while the daily withdrawal limit on the Multicaixa network (cumulative between CA and TPA) remains at 150,000 kwanzas.
According to EMIS, the Multicaixa network "processes more than 9.5 million financial transactions per day, with more than 3800 ATMs, around 190,000 automatic payment terminals and more than 1.5 million MCX Express users".
