The guarantee was made this Monday, during a meeting with managers and some national producers, "as part of access to public purchasing for economic operators whose goods and services have the 'Made in Angola' seal", says a statement from National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM), to which VerAngola had access.

As the main sellers of national production, the institute says it understands that "large commercial areas must prioritize goods produced" in the country on their shelves in order to encourage domestic production and consumption, the statement said.

On the occasion, the general director of Alimenta Angola, Ronaldo Oliveira, quoted in the note, said that 'Feito Angola' is already part of the company's strategy.

"'Made in Angola' is already part of our strategy, in our five existing stores in Luanda, the seal is available on products in these stores. We will reinforce it after this meeting because we support this campaign to promote 'Made in Angola'", he indicated.

"We received Made in Angola, since we are one of the largest food distributors in the country, we have several industries, we have the vision, we are trying to invest in Angolan raw materials and bring nationally produced goods to families' tables", guaranteed Joana Fonseca, from the Angoalissar group.

Casa Nova also guaranteed its commitment to 'Made in Angola'. "We have already proven ourselves, we are working to increase our production capacity, we will continue and this meeting allowed us to share some operational constraints on the 'Made in Angola' service", said the company's CEO, Amin Hergi.

On the occasion, according to Angop, the operators also indicated the need for regular "large-scale" production of national goods with a view to stimulating consumption of 'made in Angola' and reducing imports. Among other aspects, operators consider that there is a need to discover mechanisms that make it possible to deliver national goods to commercial establishments in a timely manner by the producers themselves, writes Angop.

The Secretary of State for Economy, Ivan dos Santos, "characterized the meeting as having been positive, as the Government wants to be increasingly aligned with its partners on the issue of boosting national production, looking above all at 'Made in Angola' as an opportunity to promote internal production and generate competitiveness in the market", reads the INAPEM note.

The meeting was attended by representatives from Alimenta Angola, Casa Nova, Candando, Shoprite, Maxi, Angoalissar, Kero and Noble Grupo, as well as the president of the INAPEM Board of Directors, João Nkosi, administrators, and senior staff from the institute.

INAPEM also recalls that, under "the measures to stimulate the national economy recently approved by the Executive, within the scope of access to public purchasing", from January next year, "all public institutions will be obliged to facilitate access to process prioritizing companies that have goods and services with the 'Made in Angola' seal in their portfolio".
