FAF rejects appeal presented by Petro de Luanda

The Disciplinary Board of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) today rejected the appeal presented by Petro de Luanda, guided by Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, due to the lack of a power of attorney authenticated by a notary.

:

In a statement, the FAF said that it notified the two-time national champions last Friday to resolve the outstanding issue within 24 hours, but says that the club did not comply with the guidance, therefore, it remains suspended from all sporting activity for two years.

The case of Mário Oliveira 'Ito', a Petro de Luanda player, was also dismissed for exceeding the eight-day legal deadline for the appeal, in accordance with the FAF's disciplinary regulations.

The Disciplinary Council, on the other hand, decriminalized Kabuscorp do Palanca and Académica do Lobito, suspended with relegation, while the process is reanalyzed by the Jurisdictional Council of the same body.

Also free from suspension is the president of Kabuscorp do Palanca, Bento Kangamba, penalized for four years, and the coach of Académica do Lobito Agostinho Tramagal, suspended for six years.

At issue is an audio released on social media, in which the coach of Académica do Lobito Agostinho Tramagal mentioned having received money from Petro de Luanda and Kabuscorp to fix results, while 1.º de Agosto tried to corrupt his team with seven million kwanzas for the same reason.
