In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company says that despite the positive balance, it has faced challenges such as the production of legislation that meets the specific needs of the sector. According to the largest national microcredit institution, "the absence of regulation aimed at microfinance institutions or banks is one of the main limitations in the scope of providing other indispensable solutions for the empowerment of the sector".
It also states that the regulation is an essential element for the realization of financial inclusion, with a view to improving the living conditions of Angolan families, as it would be the link between potential microfinance operators and the effective demand of specific market segments.
Perspectives for the future
With many years of operational experience, KixiCrédito projects a future where "microfinance activity is an ally of the Government in the fight against poverty, through comprehensive financial inclusion".
The company also mentions that operators are increasingly solid and interested in expanding microcredit, especially in a context in which the BNA has shown itself to be "increasingly cooperative and committed to the sector".
For KixiCrédito, the alliance between the Executive and the Microcredit Companies is completed when the regulation and legal configuration of the activity adjusts to the current reality. "From here, solutions such as financial and tax incentives can be created that will allow the transaction of products and services with more competitive conditions", says the company in the statement.
As examples of this "alliance", the company highlights the launch of the product 'KixiAgropesca', under the PREI, which focuses on financing activities related to the agricultural and fishing chain, with KixiCrédito financing around 1,200 projects.
