Brasileira Caio exports a new batch of 60 urban buses to Angola

The Asperbras Group, which operates in Angola, will receive in the next few days a new order for 60 urban buses - Apache VIP model - part of a batch of 200 units negotiated with the Caio brand.

The vehicles left Botucatu, in São Paulo, where Caio's headquarters is located, heading for Luanda, via the Port of Paranaguá on a chartered ship, according to a statement sent to VerAngola.

Caio says that Angola "is an important market" for the company, which already has the brand's buses in operation in the Regular Urban Passenger Transport Project (TURP).

The Apache VIPs purchased across the country are 10,50 meters long, have forward boarding and a total capacity for 74 passengers. In addition to the retractable step, which facilitates access to the bus, they also have seats reserved for people with reduced mobility and the elderly.

With regard to biosecurity measures, the company states that "in 2020 the Asperbras Group had already acquired a batch of 132 Apache VIPs, which also had biological security solutions".

Thus, the group once again opted for 'Caio Protect' equipment, such as a kit with a protective barrier for drivers and collectors, with easy-to-clean glass components.
