Governor of Luanda on a working day for works in the municipality of Ícolo e Bengo

The Governor of Luanda, Ana Paula de Carvalho and her team, worked this Tuesday in Ícolo e Bengo, the most eastern municipality of the province, where they verified the level of execution of the works in progress.


It was 8:00 am when the governor, accompanied by a delegation from the Government of the Province of Luanda (GPL), arrived in Catete for a field trip. They were received by the administrator Humberta Paixão, who listed the main concerns that affect the municipality and its populations.

Ana Paula de Carvalho began by visiting the municipal hospital and morgue, the latter included in the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM). Also in Catete, the head of Luanda province visited the Middle Agrarian Institute, where the work is at a standstill, and the Municipal Command, where the construction of new cells is planned.

The trip continued to the district of Caculo Cahango, where the government official verified the state of advanced execution of the Water Collection, Treatment and Distribution System, with a capacity to pump 35 cubic meters per day, and whose completion is scheduled for November. In the same district, Ana Paula de Carvalho verified the effective rehabilitation of the Health Post, now expanded with a pharmacy, a vaccination post, two toilets, a prenatal and family planning office and a general practice office. .

In the commune of Calomboloca, the governor found that the Prison Establishment's Water Collection, Treatment and Distribution System is progressing to its concluding phase. As for the construction of a school with 12 classrooms in the same commune, she noted the stoppage of the works.

Finally, Ana Paula de Carvalho went to the village of Caxicane, where she verified that the prefabricated houses were being built at a good pace, where the more than 500 families affected by the fire that occurred on the 28th of August in Bairro da will be relocated. Kinanga.

With the visit to Caxicane, the working day was concluded within the scope of the round of visits of verification that the Governor and her team are carrying out to the province's municipalities.

According to a statement from the GPL that VerAngola had access to, the person in charge intends to monitor the work closely, gather information, identify constraints, point out solutions and ensure the smooth execution of the works in progress in the various districts, communes and villages.
