On September 26th, Saturday, the CD "Canto Terceiro da Sereia o Encanto" and the book "Marítimos" - a special edition in commemoration of Angola's 45th anniversary and the 66th anniversary of the Foundation of the African Maritime Club will be released.
The CD is part of a musical trilogy, started in the 90's, inspired by "Kianda", a mythological figure of the fishermen of Luanda Island. It is a jazz opera by Filipe Zau and Filipe Mukenga. The book, by Filipe Zau, tells the story of Africans in Portugal, especially the African sailors.
The event was organized by the authors Filipe Zau, Filipe Mukenga, the publishing company Perfil Criativo, the Angolan Embassy in Portugal and the Union of Portuguese Speaking Capital Cities (UCCLA).
The launch will take place in Portugal, at the UCCLA, from 3:30pm and will be attended by three special guests: writer and historian Alberto Oliveira Pinto, director and director Luís Moreira and music producer Telmo Lopes.
