The bank's credit, with a rate of 9 percent and a maturity of two years, plans to help trade and distribution operators buy products 'made in Angola'.

The list of products that can be acquired with this money is vast: corn, rice, sugar, wheat, sorghum, millet, reindeer and sweet potatoes, cassava, beans, soy, mango, avocado, papaya, tomato, carrot, cabbage, cucumber, eggs, honey, among others.

The credit line also allows the purchase of various types of meat (poultry, pork, goat, etc.) as well as fish (horse mackerel, tuna, sardine of the kingdom, among others).

According to João Nkosi, national director for Competitive Economy and Innovation, from the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), cited by Angop, the project has already allowed the financing of 68 operators, spread over 15 provinces of the country. Operators from Moxico, Lunda Norte and Cuando Cubango were the only ones who have not yet benefited from this support, he said.

"Seven associated companies have received financing to purchase fertilizer, safeguarding the agricultural year. And it is important that these operators go to the fair to buy the production," said the responsible, who was speaking at a press conference on the first edition of the national production outlet fair "AgriHuíla", which begins this Thursday and continues until Sunday 27.

Paulo Gaspar, president of the Huíla?s Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Association (AAPCIL), took the occasion to affirm that the fair serves to sell products directly to the consumer, as well as to the companies that received financing for the purchase of the national production.

There are 140 producers from the 14 municipalities of Huíla registered at the fair, with the aim of attracting the market for sales and consumption.
