Angola wants to approve three instruments “that will solidify relations” in this context: two cooperation agreements between the Angolan Ministry of Interior and its Congolese counterpart in matters of defense and security and movement of people, and the constitution of a permanent mixed defense commission. and security between the two countries.

The bilateral commission meeting, which runs until Wednesday, will analyze the security situation along the common border, with emphasis on security measures to mitigate the spread of covid-19 along the border and to prevent and combat terrorism. and illegal immigration.

The location, rehabilitation and replacement of border landmarks, and the analysis and assessment of incidents along the common border will also be on the table at the bilateral meeting.
