“The processing of the payroll of civil servants for the month of July is regularized, with a 100 percent execution level”, said the National Treasury Directorate of the Ministry of Finance.
According to the National Treasury Director, Marlon Lima, the delays were due to the “disconnection between the inflow of resources and the essential commitments of the State, such as the servicing of the internal debt, which on the last day of the month alone amounted to 300 billion kwanzas”.
On Thursday, the UNITA parliamentary group questioned the salary delay “without explanation or justification”, considering the situation “unacceptable” and with “serious consequences” for families.
The Ministry also highlighted the importance of remuneration for civil servants and their families and reiterated its commitment to reducing the discrepancy between revenue and expenditure flows, in order to allow the normalization of salary processing.
