According to Jornal de Angola, the flight left Lomé at approximately 2:55 pm for Luanda. On a Boeing 737 800 (with capacity for 162 passengers), the Asky Airlines flight was scheduled to arrive at 7 pm in Luanda, where it landed with 55 passengers on board.
On the occasion, Hélder Marcelino, Secretary of State for Tourism, said that this connection will stimulate tourism, business and services in the African region.
Cited by Angop, the official stressed that it is necessary to make the most of it to strengthen tourism and added: "With the entry of the Togolese company, we think it is an opportunity that the Angolan community residing in our territory has to take as much advantage as possible, connecting with all the countries that the company makes in its connections".
On his turn, Nowel Ngala, commercial director of Asky Airlines, informed that three weekly frequencies will be available, whose arrivals in Luanda will happen on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while departures from the Angolan capital will take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The official, also quoted by Angop, also took the opportunity to mention that the airline has been operating for 13 years, also considering that this connection will make it possible to bring African countries closer together.
According to Angop, the flights will be between Luanda and Lomé, and passengers will then be free to travel to other routes.
Regarding the cost of the trip, the return ticket will cost an average of 600 dollars for the economic zone.
