According to the official – quoted in a note from the Provincial Government of Huíla, which VerAngola had access to – residents of Lubango and Humpata "can now regularly use the services of the Africell telephone network".
"As an exhibitor at the 30th edition of Expo-Huíla, Africell gave priority to provincial governor Nuno Mahapi, who made the first official call", reads the statement.
Thus, the province of Huíla now has the services of the operator in two municipalities, "at a time when it is working on the infrastructures to establish itself definitively, expand the network and services to other parts of the province", adds the note.
At Expo-Huíla, the company has "services embodied in the sale of normal and special SIM cards, routers and recharges, Africell Busness and AfriMoney service, a payment tool via telephone".
Remember that, last week, the company had already announced the expansion of services to Huíla. At the time, the operator's commercial director, Mário Mateus, made it known that the services would reach the said province from the second half of this month.
With this expansion, Huíla now joins the list of provinces that already benefit from the company's telecommunications services, comprising Luanda, Cuanza Sul and Benguela.
