On his medal wall, João Samuel has a gold medal, obtained in Lunda Norte at the Gala Leste Catoca in 2018, and a bronze medal, won in Uíge in the Angola Cup the previous year.
Regarding the other boxers, in individual terms, who are fit for next year's Olympics, names like Faustino Mananga from Electro do Lobito, in the 57 kilograms category; Nzuzi Mbake from Leão do Palanca, in the 51 kilogram category, as well as the boxers Sorte Congo (in the 63.5 kilogram category) and Rodrigues Paulo (in the 80 kilogram category) from Escola Lá Finca.
According to Angop, the Jefo Sport boxers also stand out, namely Gedeon António (71 kilograms) and Carlos Luyanda (80 kilograms).
It should be noted that the Top7 National Boxing Tournament took place between the 10th and 13th of August, in the capital.
The Olympic Games are scheduled for July 26th to August 11th next year.
