According to Inamet, the earthquake was recorded at 9:27 am (local time) this Thursday and the epicenter was detected south and southeast of the municipality of Catchiungo, southern Angola, felt with maximum intensity V in the city of Huambo.
According to available data, "so far, the earthquake has not caused personal data", reads the Inamet statement.
Angolan public radio reported that some municipalities in the province of Bié, in the central south region of the country, also registered earthquakes this Thursday.
