On the occasion, João Lourenço highlighted "the fact of being one more lady to add to the many cases of women who occupy important positions in the State apparatus", according to a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngolo had access.

The head of state considered it to be a "sign that, until now, women have carried out with zeal and dedication the functions entrusted to them".

Thus, he reiterated the continuous commitment to women: "Therefore, on our side, we will continue to invest in you in the certainty that this is the only way we will know how to build a great country. Men and women, side by side, without discrimination, practically for all functions, we can trust either one or the other", said the President, quoted in the note.

The advisory judge left the promise of "dedication and commitment" in the position of supporting the president of the TS, to "improve the organization and functioning of the courts and restore the confidence of citizens in the jurisdictional activity".

The person in charge took the opportunity to thank her colleagues "for the vote for your election": "Thank you for the vote of confidence they have placed in me and ask that we be united in fulfilling our essential function, which is to administer justice on behalf of the people and terms of the Constitution and the Law", she said, quoted in the note.

It should be recalled that the President of the Republic appointed Efigénia Lima Clemente after the "homologation of the results of the election process of candidates for office, carried out by the Superior Council of the Judiciary".

The counselor judge received the most votes among the three candidates: she had eight votes while Daniel Modesto Geraldes and Maria Teresa Marçal André Baptista Borges obtained six votes and one vote, respectively.
