President of the Republic visits works of the future General Hospital of Ondjiva

It was still in the early hours of this Friday - filled for João Lourenço - that the Chief Executive visited the site of the future General Hospital of Ondjiva, where construction work on the aforementioned hospital unit is taking place, whose opening is scheduled for 2024.

João Lourenço took a guided tour of the hospital's facilities, where he was informed about the level of execution of the contract, which currently has 84% physical execution and 74% financial execution.

Cited by the Government, the Secretary of State for the Hospital Area, Leonardo Inocêncio, said that the hospital unit is of the third level, presenting all the valences.

He added that it will have "hemodialysis services with 12 chairs, a complete hemotherapy block with all the conditions for testing, screening and blood diagnosis", the latter with the prospect of having "safe blood to avoid accidents". .

It should be noted that the Ondjiva General Hospital will be equipped with 220 beds, as a way of avoiding the evacuation of patients to neighboring Namibia. The work will also have eight residences for health professionals. The same will be in operation in 2024, says the Government.

After the visit, the PR traveled to the municipality of Cuvelai to check in loco the progress of the Structuring Projects to Combat Drought, which include the Ndué and Calucuve dams.
