President received representatives of non-governmental organizations

João Lourenço this Monday heard representatives from six non-governmental organisations, following the meetings he has held in recent days with civil society, including representatives of street vendors.

João Lourenço received representatives from the Provincial Union of Fairgrounds and Informal Commerce Workers, which brings together women from Zungueiras, and from the Christian Organization of Support to Community Development (supporting ethnic minorities).

The representative of zungueira women, Inês Neto, told Rádio Nacional that the organization controls 3000 street vendors, of which 2000 are affiliated, and discussed with the President the situation and organization of this group, which intends to be enrolled in social security.

The concern with access to microcredit and the situation of the basic food basket were also points raised by the zungueira women during the meeting.

The head of state also received representatives of the National Youth Council (CNJ), the National Union of Artists and Composers (UNAC), the National Union of Angolan Students and the Association of Former Students in Cuba (Caimaneros).

João Lourenço already held meetings with business representatives and national religious authorities.
