In total, a total of 205 professionals returned to the country, among which 187 graduated in general medicine and the remaining 18 in health sciences.

On the occasion, the holder of the Health portfolio highlighted "the very big bet that the Executive" made in the training of staff and said that the Government "will work towards" creating conditions to fit professionals.

"We have here to reiterate another great gain of this Executive and a very big bet that the Executive led by President João Lourenço makes in the training of staff. To say that the social sector had very special attention during this mandate, health, education, higher education, and here we have the result of this investment that was made", said the minister, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

Sílvia Lutucuta also said that 205 professionals arrived in the country, most of them doctors who are "eager to start working".

"205 health professionals arrived, most of them doctors, graduated in medicine from several provinces and who are willing to start working and the Executive will work to, as soon as possible, create administrative conditions and everything else so that our professionals are classified, comply with the necessary procedures and be included in our health units", she said.

Sílvia Lutucuta, quoted by RNA, clarified that the qualification of professionals will be through a competition.

"It is a tender process. There was already a group in which we created an intermediate platform in which they were placed on a temporary contract and then are now participating in the tender process. But we are not going to waste these staff, a great investment was made for them to arrive as far as they have come, are formed and we are going to absorb them", she added, quoted by RNA.
