Executive Decree No. 285/22, of 2 August, considers that the Nzau-Evwa caves stand out for their natural aspects and also for the various characteristically historical elements, permeated by events, folk tales, involving their genesis and use. over time.
In another executive decree no. 284/22, of 2 August, the Government classified the cine-studio, in the municipality of Moçâmedes, Namibe province, as a national historical-cultural heritage.
According to the document, the cine-studio is one of the most representative creations of "Tropical Modernism", existing throughout Angola, allowing us to understand the typological evolution of movie theaters, since their emergence, from the 1930s.
The classification is made recognizing the need to promote its recognition as an important place of memory in the city of Moçâmedes.
Inspired by the creations of Brazilian Oscar Niemeyer, the cine-studio was completed in 1974, in the city of Moçâmedes, but inside, with a futuristic construction, no film was ever screened or any show performed, having been completed on the eve of independence.
The executive also classified the monument-cemetery of Teka dya Kinda and Milando, in the municipalities of Quela and Cunda-dya-Baze, province of Malanje, as a "site of national historical interest".
