Schools in the capital will operate under normal class rules in the next school year

The capital's schools will operate, in the 2021/2022 school year, on a normal schedule. That is, the timetable applied last school year (every other week) will not be applied and the number of students per class will not be reduced.

:

"All schools will operate, from next September 1, with full classes, with full schedules, six hours a day, and with a maximum of 45 students per class," said the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL), in a statement published on its Facebook.

However, the entity said that the Provincial Office of Education of Luanda will always be attentive to the information released by the authorities on the situation of the pandemic in the country.

About the decision to operate in normal regime, the GPL explains that "the measure arises because, with the painful and difficult experience, we learned something to deal with the pandemic. Having learned how to deal with the disease and in view of what the national authorities say about the measures to be taken in the country, this relative lack of focus will also affect the school, which will adapt to the measures.

For this reason, classes will start as normal, but always paying attention to health measures, so that, if necessary, "there will be adaptation to the context.

According to the note, the response to the pandemic, so far, "has been good.

"The province of Luanda is now in a phase of massive vaccination of the population, in all municipalities. There are teachers engaged in this. In this way, these signs or variables are giving indications that the next school year can begin under normal conditions, always attentive to the indications of the authorities on the control of the pandemic," the statement adds.
